Last Nights Dinner 10/03/12

Standard

Well we had Pasta with Chicken and white sauce. But I did not make the white sauce from scratch I used it from a jar.

Pasta

Butter

Garlic

Chicken

Salt and Pepper

Green Onions

White Sauce

First I started the pasta in a pot with a lid. Here I melted the butter and added some garlic to it.

Yes I do add garlic and lots of it yummy!

I had 2 Chicken Breast that I had boiled the other day so I shredded it and put it in the skillet with the butter and garlic.

After I added the Chicken to the butter and garlic I added salt and pepper to it and let it heat up.

Then I added the Pasta to the boiling water.

I cut up the green onions with my Pampered Chef knife and it works awesome 🙂 And there is my White sauce I got it from Walmart.

After 11 min. I drained the pasta and put it back in the pot.

Then I added the white sauce, chicken and the green onions.

Then I stirred it altogether and the family loved it!!! Now I have to tell you I have made the sauce from scratch before but right now I am working 2 jobs so I used the jar sauce and it was just fine.

Thank you so much for reading my blog have an awesome day!

Here are my potato’s cleaned and ready to dice. Well maybe a little bigger than diced.

At this point I put the Diced onions and minced garlic. I let them cook for a few min.

Then I add the potato’s and sprinkle a package of dry onion soup mix. Covered them with a lid and let then cook til they are soft and crispy if that’s the way you like them.

Pinch Bowl Set from Pampered Chef

Standard

When I ordered these I did not notice that they came with lids. I guess I was just so excited for the 4 small bowls a 1 oz, 2 oz, 4 oz and 8 oz. I love them and I think the lids are adorable 🙂 I’m so happy I got them!

Pinch Bowl Set

Prep and store dry or liquid ingredients. Spouts help you easily pour liquid ingredients. Glass bowls and plastic lids nest to take up less space. Set of four in includes 1-oz, 2-oz, 4-oz and 8-oz. sizes with lids. Dishwasher-and freezer safe. Bowls are microwave-safe. This is out of the Pampered Chef book!

Here I put all the lids on and stacked them so you could see the large to small size.

One more picture of them stacked. I’m so excited to use them. They will work perfect for when I make Mac N Cheese. I put an egg in one, flour in one, salt and pepper along with any other spices I use at the time. It’s going to be lots of fun!

Thank you for reading my blog 🙂

My Son’s Favorite Meal

Standard

I work late a lot so the night before I made this I boiled about 4 to 5 boneless / skinless chicken breast. I started them frozen I put the water in the pan, put the chicken in the water and turn it on high and set the timer for 1 hour. Then I let it set in the pan with no heat on for 30 min. Then I put it in the refrigerator.

Oh and by the way the name of the dinner is 7 Cheese Tortellini with chicken and white sauce.

All you need is:

Chicken

7 Cheese Tortellini

White sauce ( homemade or in a jar )

Butter

Garlic

Salt and pepper

Season salt

The next day I washed the chicken and cut it in chunks. Then I put some butter and garlic in the cast iron skillet to heat up the chicken and it makes it a little brown and the flavor is awesome.

Here is the tortellini  I get it from Costco it comes in a 2 pack. I freeze one and use one.

It’s very fragile. You only have to cook it for the most 8 min. After the water is already boiling that is.

Here I have the Chicken and Tortellini cooking. See the browning on the chicken? It is so delicious!

I mixed it all together and it is ready to serve.

To go with the 7 cheese Tortellini and white sauce is of course Garlic Bread.

And not just Garlic Bread but garlic bread with cheese 🙂

Being served to my husband 🙂

Being served to my son 🙂 2 very happy men.

Thank you for taking the time to read my blog I hope you enjoyed it. Have an awesome 3 day weekend I know I will 🙂

New toys for my Kitchen

Standard

Ok so I am a huge Pioneer Woman Fan 🙂 She cooks the way my family likes. And she is always cooking in the Cast Iron Skillet. So I had to get me one a 12″. Now I did have a 8″ I had gotten from my Mom’s place. Down at the mail boxes if someone does not want something they just leave it there for anyone to take that can use it.  I that is when I got my first Cast Iron Skillet. The only thing was that it was a little small for my family of 5. So when I was at Wal-Mart one day I seen this Cast Iron Skillet and had to get it.

While I was there I was looking for some Salt and Pepper dishes with lids. I’m still looking for some. But for now I found these very small mason jars that I am using right now.

Just a picture of how it looks with them on the counter. Oh yes and after we drank all the water bottles. I found something else to put there. I like it much better 🙂

I also got a new Coffee Pot. The white one is the old. Every time we would pour the coffee in to our cup it would spill. It would also smell so bad because when you would pour yourself a cup of coffee it would drip on the burner. And I could not get it clean. But this black one is so awesome. It will turn off if on to long after it’s done brewing. No Coffee has dripped on the Burner and I love it.

I love it! It’s up to date more modern 🙂

I hope you enjoyed my little changes I made. And my little toys I got!
