Spray Paint

Standard

Friday night April 27th. Tiffany was off that day. Brittany and I were working til 6:00. So Tiffany picked up Brittany and I and we all went to have Pedicures and Manicures done. We were having a very relaxing time. It was a girls night out. After the mani’s and the pedi’s we went to dinner at a Korean BBQ. It was wonderful so yummy. We were goofing off as we were walking to the car. The car was parked in a parking garage by Todos Santos Park in Concord. When we got to the second floor where we were parked. It looked like someone had graffitied Tiffany’s car. As we got closer we could see that is what had happened.

Yes it was true! We could not believe it. At first we thought maybe it was someone playing a trick on her. But no it was real fast drying paint. I believe me it was dry!!

We are not sure what it says but I knew it was nothing good! That word was on the wall too.

If only they would have stopped there!

Here is Tiffany taking a picture of the windshield. The blue paint that is on the drivers window is on the windshield too.

At least it was not on the driver’s side and she was able to drive home. We live on a busy street and I was freaking out because she has to park out in front of the house and what ever that word was I’m sure it was a gang thing and I did not want people to think we were apart of a gang.

So when we got home my husband was so awesome he brought out the brake fluid a brillo pad. He and Tiffany went to work and look at the awesome job they did!!

This is where it was on the paint of the car. As you can see the yellow in the cracks. We are not sure what it going to happen to the paint after the clean up.

The windshield is clean too! Now we have all ( My Family ) worked at car dealerships and we know that if you have a razor blade that would have taken it off. But of course we did not have one at our house. So they had to do it the hard way. But it got done 🙂

Thank you so much for reading my blog. I hope you have a great day!

Cups and Saucers for my roses

Standard

Here is one of my beautiful roses. I have some cups and saucers setting on my bookshelf in the kitchen. So I thought it would look pretty to put a rose in it. So we can enjoy the roses in the house. I loved it 🙂

The color of the rose matched the color of the cup and saucer. It is beautiful!

In this cup I put smaller roses. What do you think?

Just a side view.

Sorry the color is not that good it was just so bright in there. That is just the outside light. I thought it looked awesome and it smelled so good 🙂

Thank you so much for taking the time to read my blog. I hope you enjoyed it. Have an awesome day!

My kitchen window

Standard

This is my kitchen window. For a long time I had very small things in there. I had no ideal what to put in there. Then when I was shopping at Paul and Shawnacee’s estate sale. On her counter she had a tray that I will put a picture of it up. On the tray was the glass dish on the top left, and the red dish on the top right, also the yellow dish on the middle shelf.

This is the tray they were setting on. Beautiful!!! I buy the huge 15 lbs bag of Jasmine rice and I did not have anything to keep it in so I would keep it in the bag and put a clip on it to keep it fresh. Then I found the big jar at Wal-Mart. The rice   fit the whole bag plus one large mason jar. I put it on the tray and I loved it I think it looks awesome along with my mason jars.

Also in the window I have a Cookbook stand with a Cookbook on it. On the bottom shelf I put a candle holder. I need to get some candles for it. Now the candles will only be for looks and hopefully smell good. I will not light them in the window. Who knows I may take it out of the window and light the candles to make it smell good 🙂

Here is another picture of the tray in front of the big kitchen window. This counter is lower than the kitchen counters. I think this may have been a nook. But it is now a part of the kitchen.

I hope you enjoyed this blog. Have an awesome week!!

Dining Room empty to full

Standard

This is my dining room the night we got the keys. The whole house is hardwood floors except the bathroom. It is also painted like this though out the house again except the bathroom. It is very nice and cozy. Plus my stuff works good with the floors and the paint. In the corner I have the small bakers rack. In front of that window I have the big bakers rack. Next to that door I have the black wall table I got from Paul and Shawnacee’s estate sales.

So this is the corner bakers rack and the wall table along with my chalk board. I’m so happy with the results. I hope you enjoyed them as well.

Here it is from in front of the big bakers rack. How pretty 🙂

Here is one of the whole dining room. With the candles lit except I for got to light the ones hanging on the wall next to the chalk board.

This is in front of that window. I’m very happy with it. I will be even more happy when I get the cutting board for the missing piece on the bakers rack.

thank you so much for taking the time to read my blog I hope you enjoyed it.

Bakers Rack

Standard

One day I was visiting a good friend of mine Belen. And I loved her house. The way she has it decorated is so beautiful! Well she had a bakers rack it is white and a little smaller than the grey one in the picture. I have lots of plants so I thought that a bakers rack would work great for all my plants. I was on craigs list one day looking for a bakers rack. I found the smaller one on the right  first. I really wanted it to put in front of that window. But it was just to small for that. While I was on craigs list I found one for $50.00. So I called the guy and told him I would be there to get it when I got off work @ 6:00. I had called him around 2:00. So when I got to his house he said someone had just came and bought it. I was bummed. Then he said well I do have one that is missing the glass for the big shelf. So I said yes I would love to see it. And it was perfect size for where I wanted to put it. So he sold it to me for $20.00.

I’m still waiting on the missing shelf. I want it to be made of a cutting board. And also in my kitchen and dining room the  color scheme is black and white. So I’m thinking of painting it black in a few months. And adding the cutting board to it also. Now some of my plants are on this bakers rack.

This is how it looks with the blinds open. Also this is the first thing you see when you come in to my house. I keep changing the things on the bakers rack and I’m not done changing it yet 🙂

I was at Ross one day and I found this plant stand and had to have it. So my sweet husband bought it for me. I have more plants on it now. Here there are 3 plants on it.

This is what it looks like all done. Well I still need to paint the bakers rack black and add the cutting board. I think it will look so much better and match the rest of my racks. To the left is the living room. To the right is the dining room. I like it! What do you think?

Thank you so much for reading my blog I hope you enjoyed it have a great week.

Small cookbook shelf

Standard

This is the night we got the keys to move in our house. I love it! The whole house is hardwood floors except for the bathroom. Now it is full. I have this bookshelf that was for my cookbooks that sets right in front of the island with the stove on it. Then I got a small bakers rack and put all my cookbooks on it as you have seen in my small bakers rack blog.

This little shelf was very messy. After I took out the cookbooks and put them on my small bakers rack. I was able to make it neat. I put all my Taste of Home Magazine together on the left side. Then the other food magazines I have together next to that. Next to the magazines I have 1 box and 1 little basket full of recipes.

Here we are at eye level. The 2 cups and saucers I got when Paul and Shawnacee were having an estate sale 🙂 the picture frame is from my daughter Tiffany. And the water hole 🙂 well that is my husbands doing. Some don’t like the water cold. That was the perfect place for them. We liked it 🙂

So that’s how it looks now. And oh yes my refrigerator is covered in pictures, christmas pictures, graduation pictures, Birthday pictures, new baby’s, My beautiful sister LaRae, my very handsome Daddy and my beautiful niece Rachel. And it is full of magnets from every place we have gone.

I hope you enjoyed this blog. Have a great day

My Orchid

Standard

I got this orchid from my beautiful friend and co-worker Danielle last year for my Birthday. I kept watering it all year about 2 times a month. They don’t need to much water. Then my daughter Tiffany told me that you just put ice chips in and that will keep it watered. I have never heard of that. She said she has been doing that for me:)

I love Orchids. I have had a few. My friend Danielle has gotten me a few. I try to keep them going I know they only bloom once a year. Once the leaves die its over. This is the first one that has lasted. This is the second time it has bloomed. I’m shooting for it to bloom the third year 🙂

It’s so beautiful! See how the leaves are still green. It’s still living 🙂 My birthday is in May I’m hoping to get another one. I will have to let my husband know 😉 I’m excited for the full bloom I keep checking it out everyday or every time I go by it!

Thank you for taking the time to read my blog on this Easter Day I hope you have a blessed Day! God Bless

Pork Chops with Garlic and Wine

Standard

The makings of the meal: ( I got this receipe from the Pioneer Woman )

Pork Chops ( I get the pork chops from Costco. They are with out bone and thick so I cut them in half for more to serve )

Olive Oil & Butter

Peeled Garlic Cloves

Red Wine

Balsamic Vinegar

Beef Broth

Bay Leaves

Salt & Pepper

Salt and Pepper both sides of the Pork Chops. Then sear them in a heavy skillet with 2 tablespoons of olive oil and 2 tablespoons of butter over high heat. You don’t need to cook them all the way through at this stage; The goal is to get as much color on both sides as possible.

Remove the Pork Chops to a plate and set them aside for a bit.

Reduce the heat to medium-high and throw in the peeled garlic cloves. Stir the garlic around and cook it for about 3 to 4 minutes, or until the garlic starts getting nice and golden brown and begins to soften. Then pour in a good amount of Red Wine.

Throw in a Bay Leaf, then let it bubble up and become nice and violent.

Let it reduce for several minutes. You want the garlic to continue to cook and soften a bit.

Then throw in pork chops and some beef broth! Arrange them in the skillet so that they’re swimming in the sauce a bit. Just let them set in there and continue to cook. The juices from the pork will become a part of the sauce and the flavor. Drizzle in a tablespoon or so of balsamic. Then let the chops simmer for another couple of minutes.

When the sauce is starting to reduce and thicken. Take the pork chops out of the skillet.

Let the sauce continue to bubble. Reducing the sauce is the key! Work the garlic around and make sure it’s soft enough to easily cut with a knife. Fell free to splash in a little more beef broth if the sauce needs a tiny bit more liquid.

At the very end, throw in a tablespoon of butter.

Add a small amount of salt and pepper. Stir to make an awesome sauce.

Arrange the pork chops on a plater or what ever you have. Then pour the whole skillet of sauce over the pork chops, garlic and all. You can also sprinkle the top with a little chopped parsley or sliced green onions if you think it needs a little green.  It is so awesome! My family loves it 🙂  You can serve it with mashed potatoes, mac n cheese, white rice, and of course some awesome garlic bread.

Thank you for taking the time to read my blog. Have an awesome Easter weekend!
